Thanks to all who attended our 2018 HEC-RAS training course in Munich. Please register your interest here to be kept informed of future European courses or contact us with any queries in the meantime.  Details for our previous course are included below, including our introductory video in which we send an 800-metre high tsunami all the way to the Alps and sever Denmark from mainland Europe using RAS Mapper:

[This video introduction is in German – to see the English translation, view the video on YouTube and scroll to the description or view more crazy feats with HEC-RAS here]

In this intensive, interactive training course, you will learn to build, run, interpret, troubleshoot, and animate flood models from scratch using free software.

Why not learn what’s new in HEC-RAS while enjoying Oktoberfest?

We have added all new European case studies for this HEC-RAS 1D/2D modelling course, including direct rainfall/rain on grid, and urban and coastal flooding, hydraulic structures, GIS interfacing, and terrain manipulation within HEC-RAS. Click here to learn more about HEC-RAS.

[Or click here for details about our training course in Paris that will be held later the same week as our Munich course.]

Presentations will be taught in English to accommodate international attendees; the course instructor, Krey Price, speaks fluent German and can provide individual workshop assistance in German.

We have offered free attendance to several hopeful attendees from developing nations who are currently seeking funding for travel expenses in order to attend the course. Some of these prospective attendees are from countries where training organisations are unable to operate due to health or safety concerns, so they typically do not have the opportunity to attend an open course locally.

If you or your firm would be willing to partner with us in sponsoring a prospective attendee by providing funding for travel expenses, we can provide you with:

  • up to four hours of free personalised, web-based assistance on your HEC-RAS projects following the course.
  • promotion of your firm’s capabilities and logo highlighted in upcoming blog posts and YouTube tutorials (some of which receive 5,000 views or more).

Please contact us for additional details. (Photo credit: DFID)

The course will be held in Room 3209A at Technische Universität München, located at Arcisstrasse 21 in Munich. See map below for location details.
